On The Move captures the quiet departure of a cowtail stingray (Pastinachus sephen) as it glides away into the shadowy depths of the Whitsundays. The stingray’s broad, undulating form disappears into the darkness, leaving only a trail of motion and mystery in its wake.
Set against the moody backdrop of deep, dark waters, this image evokes a sense of solitude and silent purpose ~ a creature perfectly adapted to its world, moving with intention yet without urgency. The cowtail stingray, with its smooth body and long, trailing tail, is both elegant and elusive, rarely seen in such a raw and untamed setting.
