Cephalopods are a class of marine molluscs that include octopuses, squids, cuttlefish and nautiluses. Known for their intelligence, camouflage abilities and complex behaviour, cephalopods have soft, flexible bodies, tentacles lined with suckers and highly developed eyes. They use jet propulsion to move through the water and can rapidly change colour and texture for communication or defence. Cephalopods are found in oceans worldwide and are considered some of the most advanced invertebrates on Earth.
